Magnificent views from the course’s elevated position down the Tyne Valley and onto Hadrian’s Wall.
An old Roman road, Roman Army Marching Camp and the Vallum (the defensive ditch that runs the full length of the south side of Hadrian’s Wall) all lie buried beneath the course.
Established in 1967, the course lies a couple of miles outside of the town of Haltwhistle, the Centre of Britain, on the edge of the village of Greenhead. Easily accessible from East or West by the A69.
Not the longest course you might play, but certainly a challenge to any level of golfer.
